Mick Fleetwood is to honor Fleetwood Mac co-founder, Peter Green, with a concert that will feature a slew of the industry’s biggest names.
Fleetwood announced that one-of-a-kind concert via social media Monday. In addition to honoring its founder, the concert will also honor the early years of Fleetwood Mac.
“The concert is a celebration of those early blues days where we all began, and it’s important to recognize the profound impact Peter and the early Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music,” Fleetwood said in a statement. “Peter was my greatest mentor and it gives me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent. I am honored to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician.”
Musicians enlisted to perform are ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, Pink Floyd‘s David Gilmour, Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler and Christine McVie as well as Jonny Lang, Andy Fairweather Low, John Mayall, Zak Starkey, and Bill Wyman.
