We admit it — we binge-watched season three of Stranger Things as soon as it came out.

But it appears we are not alone.

The latest instalment from Hawkins pulled out all the stops, with both fans and critics calling it the best season of the sci-fi show yet.

And if you don’t believe us, let the numbers speak for themselves.

Netflix has now revealed that Stranger Things, which was released on July 4th, broke the streaming service’s four-day record.

An incredible 40.7 million household accounts tuned in to see the latest adventures of Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and the rest of the crew.

According to Netflix, an account is deemed to have “watched” a show if it has completed at least 70% of one episode (or 70% of an entire film for movies).

18.2 million accounts have already watched all eight episodes of the season, because, duh.

Now, come on, Netflix, renew Stranger Things for season 4!
