NBA Announces the All-NBA 2019-2020 Teams

On Wednesday, the NBA announced its three All-NBA teams which recognizes the best players in the league.

The first team consists of Los Angeles Lakers’ players LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Milwaukee Bucks’ and the reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic, and Houston Rockets’ forward James Harden.

LeBron James has been named to the All-NBA team 16 times, which sets a record as the player with the most All-NBA selections in the league’s history. He passes legendary players Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who have 15 All-NBA nominations. This is also the 13th time James has been named to the first team.

This is Harden’s fifth straight season being named to the first team and Doncic is the first player to be named to the All-NBA in one of his first two seasons since Tim Duncan was in 1999.

The second team consists of Clippers’ star Kawhi Leonard, Nuggets’ center Nikola Jokic, Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard, Thunder guard Chris Paul, and Raptors’ Pascal Siakam.

The third team includes Boston’s Jayson Tatum, Miami’s Jimmy Butler, Utah center Rudy Gobert, Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons, and Houston’s Russell Westbrook.
