Pop-Tarts are the latest popular product getting Hollywood treatment in Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story. Netflix teased the release of Jerry Seinfeld’s new comedy with a hilarious trailer, and its cast is as star-studded as it gets.

Unfrosted marks Seinfeld’s feature film directorial debut, and it will take us to 1960s Michigan. It will chronicle the battle between sworn cereal rivals Kellogg’s and Post to introduce a pastry that will change the face of breakfast, which eventually led to the creation of the iconic Pop-Tarts.

Seinfeld first started developing this idea as a joke with a fellow co-writer Spike Feresten, and they were pretty intrigued by Pop-Tarts’ origin story once they started digging.

“We love the idea of grown-up men in suits talking about cereal all day. The silliness of how they look and what they talk about just seemed like a fantastic world to be in” Seinfeld told Tudum.

Seinfeld will lead the star-studded cast alongside Melissa McCarthy and Jim Gaffigan. Amy Schumer, James Marsden, Jack McBrayer, Bobby Moynihan, Maria Bakalova, Max Greenfield, Bill Burr, Dan Levy, Christian Slater, and Hugh Grant will join them in supporting roles.

Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story will premiere on Netflix on May 3.
