Guy Ritchie impressed us with the Netflix spin-off of his hit film The Gentlemen, and the second chapter of this story is on the horizon. The acclaimed action comedy will return for the second season after its stars Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings agreed to reprise their roles.
The Gentlemen follows Eddie Horniman, who unexpectedly becomes the new Duke of Halstead after his father leaves him his sizable country estate. Things take a wild turn after Eddie learns there’s an unexpected source behind his large inheritance—an illegal cannabis farm located on his family estate.
The show’s renewal is quite a pleasant surprise for the fans, especially after the leading man Theo James said that the potential second season hasn’t been discussed.
“I think with a show like this, if you’re going to do more, you need to come up with a really interesting concept for season two. Because as much as we enjoyed it and as fun as it was, it needs a narrative drive,” James previously told Deadline.
The Gentlemen renewal has been confirmed after James agreed to return for Season 2, along with his co-stars Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings. Guy Ritchie is also coming back as the director of the second season, which he co-wrote with Matthew Read.
