Seinfeld is heading to Netflix, y’all!

The comedy of comedies is currently being shown on Hulu, but come 2021, that’s about to change.

Netflix has secured the rights to stream all 180 episodes of the series that was originally shown on NBC from 1989 to 1998. The show starred Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Michael Richards.

Seinfeld is the television comedy that all television comedy is measured against. It is as fresh and funny as ever and will be available to the world in 4K for the first time,” said Ted Sarandos who is the Chief Content Officer for Netflix. “We can’t wait to welcome Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer to their new global home on Netflix.”

The streaming service seemed like the natural candidate as it is already home to Seinfeld’s series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Seinfeld’s current deal with Hulu is scheduled to expire in 2021.
