These days, we are used to seeing Ellen DeGeneres sitting in a rather comfortable armchair.

But the comedienne is going back to her roots.

Before the 60 year old started dancing and interviewing celebrities (not to mention hosting awards ceremonies), she made her career in stand-up comedy.

The last time she stood on a stage to perform jokes was 15 years ago — but all that is about to change with the release of her Netflix special, Relatable.

Ahead of the December 18th release date, the streaming service has dropped a trailer so we can prepare our stomachs for some belly laughs.

The talk show host proves that she doesn’t take herself too seriously when she opens the trailer by relaying a conversation with a friend.

“A friend of mine was at my house and I told him I’m going to do stand-up again and he said, ‘Really?’ and I said, ‘Yeah’. And he said, ‘Well, do you think you’re still relatable?’” Ellen tells the audience. “Just then, Batu, my butler, stepped into the library…”

Relatable or not, you’re still hilarious, Ellen!
