Never Have I Ever attracted a passionate fan base since premiering on Netflix last year, and it’s not going away anytime soon. The critically acclaimed teen comedy has been renewed for its third season.

The news of renewal comes about a month since the second season of Never Have I Ever premiered on Netflix and created a lot of buzz online.

The show’s creators, Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, are as happy as we are about the renewal and they released an official statement thanking Netflix for bringing the series back for another season. “We are so grateful to Netflix and Universal Television for letting us continue to tell this story, and to the fans around the world who clamored to see more of this badly behaved Indian teenager,” stated the duo.

Never Have I Ever centers on an Indian-American teen Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) who is trying to navigate high school after the death of her father. The cast of this series also includes Jaren Lewison, Darren Barnet, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez, and Poorna Jagannathan.

Since premiering on Netflix in 2020, Never Have I Ever was met with positive reception and it’s been hailed as an important moment for South Asian representation in Hollywood. Netflix reported that 40 million households tuned in to watch it during its first four weeks on the platform.
