The first season of Euphoria was as thrilling as it gets, but it seems things will get even wilder when this shows returns for Season 2. The first full trailer for the second chapter is here, and it hints things are about to get really dark for Zendaya and the gang.
According to its official logline, “amidst the intertwining lives in the town of East Highland, 17-year-old Rue must find hope while balancing the pressures of love, loss, and addiction.” This continues Rue’s arc from Season 2, but the new trailer makes it clear something even darker is coming our way.
The trailer opens with Rue attending a meeting with a mysterious suitcase, and she keeps it close to her throughout the teaser. Her infatuation with Jules doesn’t seem to have faded away, but she’s not the only character dealing with some drama in her love life.
In addition to Zendaya as Rue and Hunter Schafer as Jules, Season 2 will also see the return of Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Barbie Ferreira as Kat, Storm Reid as Gia, among others.
The upcoming season was preceded by two Christmas specials and it’s s set to premiere on January 9, 2022.
