Nick Jonas will be bringing his musical prowess to one of the most successful talent competitions.

The Sucker singer has been announced as the newest coach in The Voice and will be joining the panel in season 18.

Currently sitting in the big red chairs are John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton. Gwen will be vacating hers to make room for Nick.

“I’m so excited to be a part of The Voice family,” he said. “It’s such an awesome group of individuals, and I can’t wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices.”

Nick’s appeared on Songland earlier this year, where songwriters compete for a chance to have their work selected by a major recording artist, seems to have stood him in good stead.

“As a member of one of the hottest pop groups, Nick’s success in navigating all aspects of the music industry is exceptional,” said President of NBC’s alternative and reality group, Meredith Ahr. “We were so impressed by his innate musicality, technical aptitude and passion that he brought to Songland earlier this year and know he will be an incredible fit as a coach on *The Voice.* We are excited to see Nick lend his mentorship, relatability and breadth of knowledge to a new crop of artists.”

Nick will be in the red chair next spring.
