“One Day at a Time” Has Been Saved!

Justina Machado, Isabella Gomez, and Marcel Ruiz in "One Day at a Time" (2017).

Dios mio, One Day at a Time has been saved!

The reboot of the 1970s comedy was cancelled by Netflix in March, in a move which surprised many due to its critical acclaim.

The remake focuses on a Cuban-American family which is headed by a single mother who is an army veteran dealing with PTSD.

Following three successful seasons, the streaming service announced that the show would be coming to an end as not enough people had been watching to justify another season.

Sony, who owns the series, was determined to find it a new home — which it now has!

One Day at a Time will be hoping to spend many more days at cable channel, Pop TV.

“Three months ago, I was heartbroken with the news of our beloved One Day At A Time’s cancellation. Today, I’m overwhelmed with joy to know the Alvarez family will live on,” said executive producer Norman Lear.

Pop has ordered 13 new episodes, meaning the Alvarezes will return for their fourth season in 2020!
