Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars is in the early stages of development at Warner Bros. Television.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the creator of Riverdale, is developing a potential reboot. Details about the project are still under wraps, and it’s unknown if Pretty Little Liars creator, I. Marlene King, will be involved in the reboot and what platform it will air on.

Pretty Little Liars premiered on ABC Family in 2010 and aired for six seasons before moving to Freeform for its final season which ended in 2017. The teen thriller ran for 150 episodes and it centered around Sara Shephard’s books of the same name that are about the Liars who are tormented by a villain known as “A”.

The series had two spinoffs—Pretty Little Liars: Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, which were both canceled after one season.

Aguirre-Sacasa is also known for his work on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Katy Keene, Supergirl, and Glee. He’s currently working on the supernatural drama The Shelley Society.
