Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the entire world speculating about their future after leaving their royal life behind, and we finally know what’s in store for the superstar couple. They inked a multi-year deal with Netflix, with several projects already in development.
The couple’s deal with the streaming giant covers scripted series, docu-series, documentaries, features, and children’s programming. According to The New York Times, they’re currently developing two projects—an innovative nature docu-series, and an animated series about inspiring women.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to share impactful content that unlocks action, and they feel like Netflix is the perfect place for that due to its unprecedented reach.
“Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope,” said the couple in a joint statement.
This isn’t the couple’s first showbiz endeavor after their departure from the British royal family. Markle narrated Disney’s nature documentary Elephant earlier this year, while Harry made an appearance in Netflix documentary Rising Phoenix.
