Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” is the strongest candidate for the song of the summer – and there’s more where that came from! She announced the release of her sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet, which will hit the shelves this August.
The former Disney star took to social media to share the cover of her next album, which she described as “quite special”. She also shared a brief teaser of her new music and promised she has a surprise coming our way this Thursday night, possibly her next single.
Carpenter dropped hints about new music in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan but added she’s not rushing it because she put a lot of work into her last album Emails I Can’t Send and she wanted to fully enjoy its success.
“I’ve been working on the next thing for a minute. I’m starting to feel like I’ve outgrown the songs I’m singing, which is always an exciting feeling because I think that means the next chapter is right around the corner,” she told Cosmopolitan.
“Espresso” was released as the lead single from Short n’ Sweet and went on to become Carpenter’s biggest hit to date, hitting No. 1 in several countries and peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
