Sandra Hüller, Jesse Plemons & Riz Ahmed Board Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s New Movie

Alejandro G. Iñàrritu’ is no stranger to star-studded projects and his next film with Tom Cruise at the helm will involve an impressive cast. Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, and Riz Ahmed are the latest stars to join this promising project.

Based on the script that Iñàrritu co-wrote with Sabina Berman, Alexander Dinelaris, and Nicolas Giacobone, this untitled project will revolve “around the most powerful man in the world, who embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything.”

It’s the first film to come out of Cruise’s strategic partnership with Warner Bros, and he’ll be joined by several acclaimed actors. Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall), Jesse Plemons (The Power of the Dog), Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal), John Goodman (The Righteous Gemstones), Michael Stuhlbarg (Call Me by Your Name), and Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me) are the latest stars to join the cast.

Iñàrritu is producing the film alongside Cruise for Warner Bros and Legendary Entertainment. This marks his first English-language film since The Revenant in 2015, which won him his second Academy Award for best director. He previously won three Oscars for Birdman, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay.
