Dollhouse, a psychological thriller, has found its lead and producer—Selena Gomez.
“Selena’s involvement is an exciting direction for this project. She is supremely talented as both a star and a producer,” said STXfilms Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson.
The 21 Laps and STXfilms’ project will have a similar feel to Black Swan and it’s set in New York’s elite fashion scene.
Although Selena is most known for her music, as she’s sold seven million albums and 22 million singles, over recent years, she’s been more involved behind the camera executive producing. Her credits include 13 Reason’s Why, Living Undocumented, and Broken Hearts Gallery, and she will be reprising her role in Hotel Transylvania 4 as well as executive producing.
Selena’s acting credits include The Dead Don’t Die, The Big Short, and Fundamentals of Caring. She’s currently starring in Selena+Chef, a quarantine cooking show, and her next role is in Only Murders in the Building opposite Steve Martin and Martin Short.
