Season 2 of Squid Game will see a new group of players fighting for life and death in an attempt to win a life-changing fortune. Nettflix’s new promo clip introduces us to a new batch of players who’ll join Gi-hun, aka Player 456, in the next round of this deadly survival game.
Squid Game will reunite us with Gi-hun three years after the events of the first season, and here’s what it has in store, according to Netflix’s official logline:
“Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport… When his efforts finally yield results, the path toward taking down the organization proves to be deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he needs to re-enter it.”
The new teaser confirms that Gi-hun will step back into the arena in Season 2, and he won’t do it alone. In addition to the legendary Player 456, the new promo clip introduces us to a batch of new players wearing green jackets with their player numbers.
Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo will return to reprise their roles from Season 2, and they’ll be joined by newcomers Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an.
