]]>Cameron talked about the Avatar sequels in a recent one-on-one interview with the Terminator star and close friend Arnold Schwarzenegger. He revealed that his team was able to work on the movies thanks to efficient handling of the coronavirus outbreak in New Zealand, where the movies are being filmed.
“We’re able to operate. We’re able to shoot and have a more or less normal life here. We were very fortunate, so I don’t see any roadblocks to us getting the picture finished, getting both pictures finished,” Cameron told Schwarzenegger.
The director didn’t share any new information about the plot because he believes “in the mystery and the great reveal.” Unless the release dates end up changing, Avatar 2 will premiere on December 16th, 2022 while Avatar 3 will come to theaters on December 20th, 2024.

Former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, acknowledged the advice he had received:
Burt Reynolds was one of my heroes. He was a trailblazer. He showed the way to transition from being an athlete to being the highest paid actor, and he always inspired me. He also had a great sense of humor – check out his Tonight Show clips. My thoughts are with his family.

Blade actor, Wesley Snipes, recalled the pair’s dinners and laughs:
I will never forget our dinners, laughs & gems you dropped. Meeting you was one of the greater joys of my adult life & artistic career. Director of Baby Driver, Edgar Wright, recognised just how underrated Burt was:
R.I.P. Burt Reynolds, underrated as a dramatic actor (Deliverance), underrated as a director (Sharkey's Machine), but also a rare movie star that seemed to be just having an absolute ball onscreen.
