]]> Julian Fellowes’ period drama Downton Abbey became a true TV phenomenon and spawned two films—and another one is on the way! Downton Abbey 3 is officially happening, and Paul Giamatti and Joely Richardson are among the new cast members joining its ensemble.

Over the course of six seasons on ITV and two sequel films, Downton Abbey chronicled the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants. Not much is known about the third film in the franchise, but it’s safe to expect it will bring more upstairs-downstairs drama our way.

Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers), who made a brief appearance as Cora Grantham’s brother Harold Levinson in the original series, will be back for another ride. He’ll be joined by Joely Richardson (The Gentlemen), Alessandro Nivola (The Many Saints of Newark), Simon Russell Beale (Penny Dreadful), and Arty Froushan (Carnival Row) in mystery roles.

Julian Fellowes wrote the script for the third film, which will be directed by Simon Curtis. Members of the original Downton Abbey cast are expected to make their return, including Elizabeth McGovern, Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Phyllis Logan, Robert James-Collier, Joanne Froggatt, Allen Leech, Penelope Wilton, Lesley Nicol, Michael Fox, Raquel Cassidy, Brendan Coyle, Kevin Doyle, Sophie McShera, and more.
