]]>John took to Twitter announcing the new clip of “Regimental Sgt. Zippo,” one of the tracks that will be featured on his forthcoming eight-disc collection titled Elton: Jewel Box.
“From the album that never was … Regimental Sgt. Zippo was going to be the title track of my unreleased debut album in 1969,” he wrote on Twitter.
“To delve back through every period of my career in such detail for Jewel Box has been an absolute pleasure,” John said when the release of the collection was announced about a month ago. “Hearing these long lost tracks again, I find it hard to comprehend just how prolific Bernie [Taupin] and I were during the early days.”
The highly anticipated collection is set to drop November 13, but until then you can watch the vid below!

]]>The iHeart Living Room Concert for America, airing March 29, will be hosted by legendary Elton John. The Rocketman will headline and host the benefit concert, which will pray tribute “ the front line health professionals and local heroes who are helping to fight the spread of COVID-19.”
The hourlong special will feature performances by stars such as Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Tim McGraw, Backstreet Boys, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, and others — all filmed themselves at home, with their own equipment.

]]>The list of musical performers was announced last week by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
“We’re excited to have an incredible group of nominees and performers who will deliver one-of-a-kind music moments you will only see on the Oscars,” a statement by the Academy said.
Best Original Song nominees Elton John and Cynthia Erivo will sing “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” from Rocketman and “Stand Up” from Harriet, respectively. In addition, Idina Menzel will sing the Best Original Song nominee “Into the Unknown” from Frozen 2.
Also taking to the stage are Randy Newman with his Toy Story 4 song “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” and This Is Us star Chrissy Metz with “I’m Standing with You” from Breakthrough.
The Oscars will take place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, February 9th.
