The 2023 Toronto International Film Festival is just around the corner, and its lineup is as impressive as it gets. The festival’s organizers just unveiled the Primetime program, which includes world premieres of All the Light We Cannot See and Expats.

Anita Lee, TIFF’s Chief Programming Officer, described this year’s program as “bigger than ever” and said it will give the festivalgoers “the exclusive and unmatched opportunity to celebrate the best new international series together, in cinema, on the big screen.”

The lineup of highly-anticipated shows set to premiere at TIFF includes Netflix’s adaptation of Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel All the Light We Cannot See and Lulu Wang’s highly-anticipated Amazon series Expats starring Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yo.

Romantic drama Alice & Jack starring Andrea Riseborough and Domhnall Gleeson is also expected to be shown as a part of the Primetime program, along with three Canadian shows, meant to spotlight “underrepresented voices from an exciting new wave of storytellers.”

The 2023 Toronto International Film Festival will return to Canada between September 7 and 17. Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron will open the festival, while the rest of the lineup includes highly-anticipated movies Next Goal Wins, Dumb Money, and The End We Start From.
