The Grammys were about so much more than just awards this year. Following the unexpected death of Lakers icon Kobe Bryant, the stars came together to honor the basketball icon.

Throughout the night Bryant’s presence was felt — his jersey hung on Staples rafters and Lil Nas X and Run D.M.C wore it during their performances. A tribute was also given for L.A rapper Nipsey Hussle, who won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance, and Bryant was mentioned during it.

Moving on to the winners of the night, 18-year-old Billie Eilish won in four categories – Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best New Artist, and Song of the Year.

Lizzo also had an amazing night. After she was nominated in eight categories, she went home with three Grammys for Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Clark also won three Grammys in the Blues and Rock categories for This Land. A Star is Born won for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Song Written For Visual Media for “I’ll Never Love Again,” HBO’s Chernobyl won Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, and Beyoncรฉ’s Homecoming won Best Music Film Prize.

The most memorable performances were Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Camilla Cabello, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s duet, Demi Lovato’s return to the Grammys, and Usher’s tribute to Prince.
