Sam Claflin has been cast as the lead in the musical drama based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel of the same title.

Claflin will star opposite Riley Keough in the 12-episode series, which chronicles the rise and fall of a renowned fictional 1970s rock band. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Claflin’s character, Billy Dunne, is the band’s charismatic frontman, whose increasingly complicated feelings for bandmate and songwriting partner Daisy (Keough) threaten to upend every facet of his life.

Claflin is best known for playing Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games films. His other credits include Every Breath You Take and Me Before You.
