Secret Invasion will see the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. join forces with some of his allies after learning that a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls invaded Earth in positions of power around the world, posing threat to humanity.

To put a stop to their master plan, Jackson will team up with Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), and the Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn). Charlayne Woodard, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Killian Scott, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle will also join them in supporting roles.

Samuel L. Jackson has been playing Nick Fury for 15 years, appearing in 11 MCU movies starting with Iron Man in 2008, and he’s showing no signs of stopping. In addition to leading Secret Invasion, he’ll soon return in the upcoming film The Marvels.

Secret Invasion will arrive on Disney+ on June 21, as the first series of Phase Five of the MCU. It’s been conceived as a mini-series consisting of six episodes.

The ninth installment in the Saw franchise is directed by Saw II, II, and IV helmer Darren Lynn Bousman and penned by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.

Spiral stars Chris Rock as the lead, with a supporting cast that includes Samuel L. Jackson and Max Minghella.

The superhero, who is Marvel’s most famous female star, has been waiting in the cinematic wings since 2013.

It was announced during San Diego Comic Con in 2016 that Room actress, Brie Larson, would be taking on the role of US Air Force officer, Carol Danvers, whose DNA was fused with Mar-Vell’s during an explosion, giving her superhuman powers.

And now, we have our first look at just how super she looks:

Gracing the cover of Entertainment Weekly, the Oscar winner describes the character as “not a superhero who’s perfect or otherworldly or has some godlike connection. She can be aggressive, and she can have a temper, and she can be a little invasive and in your face. She’s also quick to jump to things, which makes her amazing in battle because she’s the first one out there and doesn’t always wait for orders. But the [not] waiting for orders is, to some, a character flaw.”

Brie will be joined in the film by Fantastic Beasts actor, Jude Law, playing Mar-Vell; Rogue One star, Ben Mendelsohn, as Talos; and Samuel L. Jackson reprising his Avengers role as Nick Fury who paged Captain Marvel at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

Captain Marvel will get her own chance in the intergalactic spotlight when her solo film premieres on the 8th of March 2019.
