The actress left the medical series in its 14th season after her character, Dr. April Kepner, set off for a happy ending with her husband, Matthew.

The decision to leave was not Sarah’s but instead a plot sacrifice at the hands of creator Shonda Rhimes.

Since her exit last year, the 38 year old says she has not checked in with the happenings at Grey-Sloan Memorial…

“I haven’t been watching,” she told reporters at the 2018 Rape Foundation annual brunch in Beverly Hills. “You know, it’s a little painful to kind of go and watch your family move on without you.”

That said, the actress says, “I wish everybody the best. I know they’re having a wonderful time.”
