It’s confirmed—OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has ordered another season of Cherish The Day. 

Like the first season, the sophomore installment of the anthology, will follow the story of a couple over key dates during the span of their relationship. The second season, however, will focus on a new story and will feature an entirely new cast. 

Season one starred Xosha Roquemore, Alano Miller and Cicely Tyson.

“Ava and her immensely talented team of creators are telling dynamic and moving love stories depicting the many facets of marriage and relationships that resonate deeply with our audience,” said Tina Perry, president, OWN. “We are so excited for season two and a new beautiful Black love story.”

The trailer was unveiled during Saturday’s New York Comic-Con panel, and since Evil is not slated to begin filming its second season until next month, fans were treated to a homemade trailer curtsey of the series creators and main cast members. 

The three-minute clip sees returning cast members—Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, and Kurt Fuller—in their homes, belting out sound effects and narrating scenes that could very well be a part of the upcoming season.

Evil is a psychological mystery that unravels the origins of evil along the lines between science and religion. It focuses on a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a contractor as they investigate the Church’s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there is a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.

Dave, the semi-autobiographical show about rapper and comedian Dave Burd, will return for season two. 

The series, which recently concluded its first season is officially the network’s highest-ranking comedy series ever after dethroning Atlanta, bumping it from the number one spot.

Dave is co-created by Dave Burd and Jeff Schaffer. The duo also exec produced alongside Saladin Patterson, Kevin Hart, Scooter Braun, Greg Mottola, Marty Bowen, James Shin, Scott Manson, and Mike Hertz.

“We set out to make something special and it’s so gratifying to see the response this show has gotten,” said Burd. “This was my first rodeo, so I’m super excited to take another crack at it now that I’ve got some experience making television. Upload takes place in the near future, where people can be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife of their choice. The series follows a young app developer, Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell), who winds up in the hospital following a self-driving car accident, needing to quickly decide his fate. After a rushed deliberation with his shallow girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra Edwards), he chooses to be uploaded to her family’s luxurious virtual afterlife, the Horizen company’s “Lakeview.” Once uploaded in Lakeview, Nathan meets his customer service “Angel” Nora Anthony (Andy Allo), who at first is his charismatic concierge and guide, but quickly becomes his friend and confidante, helping him navigate this new digital extension of life.

The show hails from creator Tony Basgallop, who also executive produces along with Shyamalan.
