Call it what you want, but it looks like Taylor Swift is teasing new music…
The “Delicate” singer dropped a few cryptic messages on social media this weekend that included the date 4.26.
The last time the 29-year-old released new tracks was in November 2017, when her sixth studio album, Reputation, came out. The album was the best-selling in the United States that year, and reached number one in 13 countries.
13 also happens to be Tay-Tay’s lucky number (she was born on the 13th of December) and so the possible music announcement was made on April 13th, which is 13 days before the teased date…
The first post, released on Friday, included a pastel sky with some clouds, while Saturday’s was of a heart-shaped diamond cluster. Both included the numbers 4.26, with the first also featuring the URL that directs to her website and features a countdown.
“I make countdowns for things I’m excited about,” Taylor said in her recent essay for Elle. “When I’ve gone through dark, low times, I’ve always found a tiny bit of relief and hope in getting a countdown app (they’re free) and adding things I’m looking forward to.”
Whatever it is, we’re ready for it!
