Taylor Swift always had a way to move us to tears with her emotional songs, and she took things to a whole new level with “All Too Well”. The fan-favorite song now comes with a short film that perfectly encapsulates the lyrics of its extended ten-minute version.

“All Too Well” was originally this long when Swift recorded it back in 2012, but she had to scale it down and make it shorter so it would have a more traditional form. Her fans have been asking for the extended version ever since, and Swift finally answered their prayers.

In addition to sharing “All Too Well” in its raw form, Swift also dropped an emotional short film that draws inspiration from its lyrics. It stars Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien as a young couple going through the highs and lows of their relationship, and they were the singer’s first and only choice for these roles.

“I got their numbers and sent them text messages and I had already created an entire treatment and script… They had the song before anyone else had the song and when they said yes, I was so elated because I didn’t have backups in mind,” explained Swift.

“All Too Well” was released with the rest of Swift’s rerecorded album Red (Taylor’s Version), which came out on November 12th to rave reviews.
