The 1997 film saw poor Julia Roberts having to take support to a whole ‘nother level as she performed “best woman” duties for her best friend — whom she is actually in love with!
The romantic movie starred Julia, Dermot Mulroney, Cameron Diaz, and Rupert Everitt.
22 years later the quartet reunited for the cover us Entertainment Weekly which shared secrets about the rom-com.
“I think about these guys every day,” Dermot admitted.
Amongst the revelations is that the film had an entirely different ending!
Julia’s character was originally supposed to find love with another wedding guest played by John Corbett, but test audiences weren’t so in favour.
Instead, the film had a bittersweet ending that celebrates friendship instead…
Rumours of a sequel have long been in the works with Julia and Dermot both expressing enthusiasm.
