The new movie is directed by Fede Alvarez who has big shoes to fill after replacing David Fincher. He did an exceptional job telling Salander’s story The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo back in 2011, but the project spent too much time in the production hell. After playing young Queen Elizabeth on The Crown, Foy made a huge transformation for her portrayal of the relentless avenger. The actress looks completely unrecognizable with an edgy shaved haircut, piercings, and tattoos, but is she as good as Mara? We’ll find out on November 9, when The Girl in the Spider’s Web arrives in theaters.
