“The Haunting of Bly Manor” Gets a Creepy Trailer & Premiere Date

The highly-anticipated follow up the The Haunting of Hill House has finally gotten a trailer and release date of October 9.

In the trailer a woman says that she has a “ghost story” to share and then we see Bly Manor and Victoria Pedretti’s character holding a creepy doll and another doll moving on it own after Pedretti leaves the room. Then there are shots of a woman emerging from an icy lake with a lifeless body floating in the lake and Amelie Bea Smith’s character humming.

The Haunting of Bly Manor comes from The Haunting of Hill House’s creator and director Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy. The nine-episode series, inspired by the supernatural stories of Henry James, is set in 1980s England when a young nanny (Pedretti) is hired to care for Henry Wingrave’s (Henry Thomas) orphaned niece (Smith) and nephew (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth). She moves into Bly Manor to care for the children and before long, she realizes that things are not what they appear to be.

The series also stars Rahul Kohli, Amelia Eve, T’Nia Miller, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, and Tahirah Sharif.
