Before the second season of The Mandalorian has premiered, pre-production has already started for the third season.

News of The Mandalorian Season 3 being in the works comes just a month after production wrapped up for Season 2.

Variety reported that sources have confirmed that Jon Favreau has been “writing season 3 for a while,” that the art department, led by Lucasfilm vice president and executive creative director Doug Chiang, have been creating concepts for Season 3 “for the past few weeks,” and that the production department began working on April 20.

The Mandalorian has had huge success and it was the first Star Wars film to launch of Disney+, which as of April 8 has 50 million subscribers worldwide.

In other Mandalorian news, Disney+ announced that The Mandalorian will be getting a behind-the-scenes look in Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, an eight-episode docuseries, which will premiere on Star Wars Day, May 4. Hosted by Favreau, each chapter will feature a different facet of the show through interviews, never-before-seen footage, and roundtable conversations.

The Mandalorian Season 2 will premiere in October.
