The Summer I Turned Pretty created quite a splash since it returned for its second season last month, and there’s more where that came from! Amazon Prime Video renewed the hit teen series based on Jenny Han’s bestselling series of novels for its third season.

Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon and MGM Studios, announced the show’s renewal and said they’ve been delighted to see the passion with which fans have embraced the new season of this series.

“This charming, deeply heartfelt series has shown the breadth of our customer base, appealing to a young, diverse set of viewers… We’re excited today to share the news that they have a lot more Summer to look forward to,” said Sanders in a statement.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is based on Han’s beloved coming-of-age series about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer. It centers on a teenage girl Isabel “Belly” Conklin, who finds herself stuck in a love triangle between two brothers she grew up with.

The second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and it stars Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, Elsie Fisher, and Kyra Sedgwick.
