Aaron Taylor-Johnson is getting ready to lead the heist thriller Fuze, and he found a perfect partner in crime. The White Lotus star Theo James will join him in this high-stakes thriller, directed by David Mackenzie.
Fuze was written by Ben Hopkins, and it kicks off when the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site sparks a mess evacuation. In the midst of the panic, a group of thieves decides to use the evacuation as the perfect cover for an elaborate heist.
Sigma Films’ Gillian Berrie, who previously collaborated with Mackenzie on Outlaw King, is coming on board as one of the producers. He’ll be joined by Anton’s Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant, while UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent are co-repping US rights.
The Divergent star Theo James found success with his TV roles in recent years, including his Emmy-nominated turn in the second season of The White Lotus and the recent lead role in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen.
On the movie side, he most recently starred in the sci-fi thriller Duel and the period drama Mr. Malcolm’s List. He’ll next appear in Stephen King’s The Monkey opposite Tatiana Maslany and Elijah Wood, which sold to Neon after a heated bidding war in Cannes.
