Christmas can’t come soon enough!

Yes, yes, we realize we’ve just passed the season of tinsel and too much food, but we are already excited for Christmas 2019, and there is one specific reason.

Tom Hardy.

The Venom actor has signed on to star in an adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

The Charles Dickens classic tells the story of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited by 3 spirits on Christmas Eve.

The BBC production comes from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, and will also be executive produced by Hardy.

So what role is the 41 year old set to play?

“I’m not going to reveal, but he’s going to be pivotal to the whole thing,” said Knight.

We are likely to receive 3 one-hour episodes, with production expected to start soon in order to have the series on air by Christmas.

Happy (Hardy) holidays, folks!
