Tom Hardy is coming back for his final film as Venom this fall, and we finally know what to expect from his last dance. The first full trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, the final film in this trilogy, is here and it sees the titular anti-hero being haunted by his double identity.
The Venom trilogy centers on an investigative journalist Eddie Brock, who serves as a host to Venom, an alien symbiote with super-human abilities. Their complicated relationship will continue in The Last Dance, which sees them going on the run.
“Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance,” reads Sony’s official logline.
Tom Hardy is returning to lead the third film in the franchise, and he’ll be joined by Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) as Orwell Taylor, a soldier who’s trying to track and capture Venom. The cast also includes Juno Temple (Ted Lasso), Rhys Ifans (House of the Dragon), Alanna Ubach (Euphoria), plus Stephen Graham and Peggy Lu, reprising their roles from the previous films.
Venom: The Last Dance will be released in theatres via Sony Pictures on October 25.
