What do you do when Beyoncé walks towards you?
If you’re Trevor Noah, you move out the way.
The South African comedian elaborated on a cringe-worthy encounter he had at an Oscars after party hosted by the Lemonade singer and her husband Jay Z.
Whilst addressing the audience during a behind-the-scenes segment of The Daily Show, the host revealed the weirdest moment of the night — and possibly his life, depending where he categorises it.
“Everyone is having a great time, and then Beyoncé starts walking in my direction so I think I should move, because it’s Beyoncé. Where she is going is not to me,” he told the giggling crowd.
“And I also don’t want the Beyhive coming after me ‘cause they’re like, ‘Yo, you blocked Beyoncé’s path,’” he said of the singer’s staunch fan base.
“So, she, like, walks towards me,” the 35-year-old continued. “I turn to move out of the way, but it turns out that she was coming over to say hi. She says hi to everybody. You’d think she’d be sitting in a box, waving, but no.”
Trevor then detailed her how the to-and-fro kept getting more awkward as Beyoncé approached and he continued to move out of the way.
