We’ve never been so pleased to see Whoopi Goldberg!
The View host gave fans and her fellow hosts quite a scare when she revealed that she had suffered quite a serious health condition.
The 63-year-old has been absent from the talk show for the past month as a result of pneumonia in both lungs and became septic, leading to fluid on the organs.
“I am OK. I’m not dead,” she said in a taped segment that was broadcast on March 8th. “Yes, I came very, very close to leaving the Earth. Good news, I didn’t. Thank you for all of your good wishes.”
But, on Thursday, the Nobody’s Fool actress made a surprise visit to her team at the ABC Studios!
“This is my first foray out,” Whoopi said. “I’m not there yet, I know that. The only way it’s going to get better is if I began, so this is my beginning.”
The news gets even better — Whoopi confirmed that she will start to return over the next week and a half.
