Paramount+ gave us one of its biggest hits with Why Women Kill, and it’s not letting go of it anytime soon. This dark-comedy anthology series will be coming back for another chapter after Season 2 premiered to strong viewership numbers.

Nicole Clemens, president of original scripted series for Paramount+, said the network is excited that the audience for Why Women Kill continues to grow, adding it ranks among the top 10 series on Paramount+ in terms of overall engagement and new subscriber acquisition.

Why Women Kill explores the intricate lives of its female characters with a style, charm, and dark humor only Marc Cherry can provide… We can’t wait to share the new cast of riveting, scandalous characters Marc Cherry has created when the series returns for its third season,” said Clemens in a statement.

Why Women Kill premiered on CBS All Access in 2019 before moving to Paramount+ for its second season. This series is the brainchild of Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, and each season focuses on a different set of women dealing with their personal drama, often with bloody consequences.

The first season of the series starred Ginnifer Goodwin, Lucy Liu, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, while Allison Tolman led the second season. The third season is expected to introduce us to brand-new characters, and the cast is yet to be announced.
