Mystery Inc. is open for business!

Scooby-Doo will be coming back to our screens next year in an animated feature directed by Tony Cervone who helmed Space Jam.

The dog detective was last seen on the big screen in the early 2000s in live-action films which starred Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, and Linda Cardinelli.

The upcoming feature will be a throwback to the animated series which first debuted in 1969.

Neil Fanning will, as usual, provide the voice of Scooby, and will be joined by Zac Efron as Fred, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, and Will Forte as Shaggy.

The movie, entitled Scoob, will be produced by Chris Columbus, Pam Coats, and Allison Abbate, while Chuck Roven, Richard Suckle, Dan Povenmire, and Adam Sztykiel will serve as executive producers.

“Those meddling kids” will team up with other characters in the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from the evil Dick Dastardly when Scoob opens on May 15, 2020.
