Zendaya and Robert Pattinson have both led some pretty impressive movies in the past, and they’ll soon get to do it by each other side. This amazing duo is eying lead roles in the A24 film The Drama, which hails from the Dream Scenario director Kristoffer Borgli.
Not much is known about the plot of The Drama at this point in time, but it reportedly chronicles a romance that takes an unexpected turn before a couple’s big day. Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are in early negotiations to star, but they’re not officially attached to this project just yet.
Kristoffer Borgli will direct the film from the script he wrote, and this will mark his second collaboration with A24 following the success of Dream Scenario. Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, and Tyler Campellone are coming on board as producers under their Square Peg banner.
Zendaya is fresh off starring in two of the buzziest films of 2024 – Denis Villeneuve’s space epic Dune: Part Two and Luca Guadagnino’s tennis dramedy Challengers. She’s also attached to the third season of the HBO teen drama Euphoria, which won her two Emmys Awards in the past.
As for Pattinson, we haven’t seen him lead a major film since The Batman, but he did voice the English version of the Oscar-winning animated film The Boy and the Heron. He’ll next be seen in Bong Joon-ho’s sci-fi film Mickey 17.
