Zendaya and Labrinth showed us they are a match made in heaven when they worked together on the Euphoria soundtrack, and they finally got the chance to perform their music live. Zendaya surprised the Coachella audience when she hit the stage during Labrinth’s set and performed two songs by his side.
Zendaya’s performance was a big deal for her fans because it marked the first time in seven years they got to hear her sing live. She joined Labrinth while he performed the final two songs “I’m Tired” and “All for Us”, which were previously featured on the hit HBO show Euphoria.
Zendaya later took to social media to thank Labrinth for inviting her and giving her “the most beautiful safe space to be on a stage again.” She also expressed her gratitude to the crowd, saying she can’t thank them enough for the love she received at Coachella.
Zendaya previously told Andrew Garfield that she stepped away from music for various reasons and explained why her acting career feels like a better fit.
“I don’t know if I could ever be a pop star. It’s because as an actor, there’s a level of anonymity that I get to have, which I really like. And I get to sort my stuff, whatever that is, through a character and nobody needs to know about it. Whereas in other forms and other mediums, it’s all you all the time,” she explained in an interview with Variety.
