This year’s awards season is slowly coming to an end, and the SAG Awards did a great job setting the stage for the Oscars. Conclave walked away with the prize for the best cast in a motion picture, while Shōgun and Only Murders in the Building dominated the television categories.

The award for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture went to the Conclave stars Ralph Fiennes, John Lithgow, Lucian Msamati, Isabella Rossellini, Sergio Castellitto, and Stanley Tucci. They managed to beat tough competition in the ensembles of Anora, A Complete Unknown, Emilia Pérez, and Wicked.

After dominating several award shows in the past few months, Shōgun won big at the SAG Awards and walked away with four trophies. It was honored with the award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, while its stars Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai also picked up trophies for their individual performances.

Only Murders in the Building won big in the comedy field, walking away with two awards. In addition to winning the award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series, its star Martin Short was honored with the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series.

The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards were held on February 23 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, with Kristen Bell returning as host.
