MTV is the gift that keeps on giving…

Not only did MTV treat us to one of the most epic Video Music Awards on Monday night, but it also teased the revival of, let’s face it, one of the best shows it ever aired.

Yes, The Hills is officially coming back – and by the looks of things, it’s going to be better than ever!

“Based off the docuseries that changed the landscape of TV history, The Hills: New Beginnings will reunite original cast members, alongside their children and friends, and follow their personal and professional lives while living in Los Angeles,” MTV said in an official press release.

“With new faces in the picture and returning favorites, The Hills is back for a new beginning.”

Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby, Stephanie Pratt, Jason Wahler and Frankie Delgado all appeared on Monday night’s MTV VMAs red carpet to generate buzz around the show’s revival.

Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari were noticeably absent on the red carpet, which makes a lot of sense as Lauren Conrad sadly won’t be appearing in the reboot.

“Lauren is concentrating right now on her Kohl’s line and her charity work, which she is very passionate about,” a source reportedly told E! News.

“She is the head designer of her Kohl’s line and has worked with them for 10 years, causing her to fly cross-country several times a month for her work.

“She’s also opening her first store for Little Market right now.”

We have to admit that we’re pretty devastated that Lauren Conrad won’t be a part of the new series, but we’re crossing our fingers for even the smallest of cameos.

The Hills: New Beginnings is slated to air at some point in 2019. We’ll let you know more deets as and when we get them!
