Former Oasis star Liam Gallagher has called for fans to donate their parkas (which is a type of hoody) to the homeless.
Gallagher named the campaign “Part with your parka.” Gallagher has collaborated with the homeless charity, Shelter, who give support to thousands of homeless people in the UK each year.
Those who donate their parka or coat to the charity will be in with a chance of winning tickets to one of Gallagher’s concerts during his upcoming tour. There is also a chance to win a meet and greet with Liam himself.
The Brit-pop icon shared the campaign on his Instagram with a photo of himself wearing his signature parker.
He wrote: “Calling all Parka Monkeys. No one plans on being homeless. Yet 5,000 people in the UK sleep on the streets on any given night. We’re asking you to help this winter by donating a coat or parka. In return for your donation, you’ll have the chance to win a pair of tickets, plus a meet and greet with Liam (one winner for each show on the UK Nov tour).”
