Netflix gave us one of the ultimate comfort shows with Bridgerton, and they shared a special treat with its fans just in time for Christmas! The streaming giant celebrated the holidays by dropping a new poster and images for the hotly-anticipated third season of Bridgerton.
The next chapter of the Bridgerton story will shift focus to Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), and it will chronicle their budding romance. They’ll go from friends to lovers when Bridgerton returns for Season 3, according to Netflix’s official synopsis:
“Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.”
Netflix’s new images offer a glimpse of Penelope and Colin, while also teasing the return of several other characters. Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) will be back and stronger than ever, while Hannah Dodd will join the series as Francesca Bridgerton, replacing Ruby Stokes.
Ruth Gemmell, Adjoa Andoh, Claudia Jessie, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, and Polly Walker are also among the stars reprising their roles when Bridgerton returns this spring. Season 3 will be split into two parts, set to be released on May 16 and June 13.
