Bridgerton is finally returning for its third season this summer, and a new romance is blooming in the latest Season 3 trailer. Could Colin and Penelope go from friends to lovers when the hits period drama comes back for its next chapter on Netflix in May?
The new trailer opens with Lady Whistledown’s dramatic narrator, which promises a huge change is on the way: “Dearest gentle reader, we have been apart for far too long. At last, London’s fashionable set has made its return and it seems that our bon ton is moving with the changing tide. So, too, is this author.”
After giving up her crush on Colin, Penelope is determined to move on and find herself a husband. In an attempt to win back her friendship, Colin suggests he could help her out, but he doesn’t seem to be too pleased once his lessons are working better than expected.
Nicola Coughlin and Luke Newton will lead the show’s third season, and they’ll be joined by Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Claudia Jessie, Luke Thompson, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, plus newcomers Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips, and James Phoon.
Season 3 of Bridgerton will be divided into two parts, set to debut on Netflix on May 16 and June 13.
