The women are doing it for themselves.

After many of her fellow Avengers have received their own stand-alone films, Scarlett Johansson, aka Black Widow, is getting her own.

The 33 year old has appeared in 6 Avengers films, dating back to Iron Man 2 in 2010.

Cate Shortland, who helmed Berlin Syndrome, has been hired to direct the film, which is likely to be set before Natasha Romanoff joined the Avengers crew.

The Hollywood Reporter has now revealed that Scarlett will be paid handsomely for her role — on par with her fellow male superheroes.

According to reports, The Ghost in the Shell actress will receive $15 million, which is the same amount that Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth made for playing Captain America and Thor, respectively, in Avengers: Infinity War.
