The members—Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa—just released The Album on October 2, which was their first full-length album since their 2016 debut.
“How You Like That”, their first single, set a then YouTube record for the most-viewed music video within 24 hours of release and hit No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their second single, “Ice Cream” featuring Selena Gomez and co-written by Ariana Grande hit No. 13.

]]>The glitzy visual for this track shows Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa dancing to the beat of the song in several colorful settings and a bunch of lavish outfits. “Lovesick Girls” reached 10 million views in just 52 minutes, breaking the record previously held by their own single “Ice Cream”.
“Lovesick Girls” is the latest single from the girl group’s debut Korean-language LP called The Album. It hit the shelves on October 2nd, and it surpassed one million stock pre-orders before its release.
The Album was preceded by the hit single “How You Like That” and the equally successful Selena Gomez collaboration “Ice Cream”. Gomez isn’t the only A-list star to team up with Blackpink on this record —Cardi B made an appearance on the track “Bet You Wanna”.

]]>Blackpink: Light Up the Sky joins Netflix’s other music documentaries and concert films including Beyonce’s Homecoming, Taylor Swift’s Miss Americana, and Lady Gaga’s Five Foot Two.
The documentary will follow the lives of K-Pop stars Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé and tell the story of their Coachella history-making performance and their recording process. There will also be exclusive footage and interviews from Blackpink.
“The K-pop phenomenon has been sweeping the globe and Blackpink has arguably become the most recognizable and most popular girl group in the world … We’re thrilled to bring their story to their fans worldwide,” said Netflix’s Adam Del Deo, VP Documentary Features.
Blackpink has been making hit after hit with their recent Selena Gomez collaboration for “Ice Cream”, Lady Gaga’s “Sour Candy”, and their single “How You Like That”.
The documentary will be released on Netflix on October 14.
