BTS broke everyone’s hearts when they announced the hiatus last year, but they made sure to celebrate their tenth anniversary in style! All seven members of the beloved K-pop band came together and marked the special occasion with a brand-new song “Take Two”.

According to the band’s label, this song sees “the group entering its second chapter”, and they recorded it with their fans in mind. The release of “Take Two” is meant to convey their appreciation toward the Army, for all the love and support they’ve been showering them with for an entire decade.

Members of BTS went their separate ways last year, and they’re focusing on solo projects while completing their mandatory South Korean military service. Jin and J-Hope are still serving at the time of the official release of “Take Two”, but that didn’t stop all the seven members from reuniting and recording their vocals for this song.

BTS is expected to reunite in 2025, and they’ve given us multiple amazing new albums since announcing their hiatus. We’ve seen several members drop solo albums in the past few months, including Suga’s D-Day, J-Hope’s Jack in the Box, Jimin’s Face, and RM’s Indigo, and they’ve also joined forces for the song “The Planet” from the soundtrack for the South Korean animated series Bastions.

After rocking our world with summer anthems “Dynamite” and “Butter”, BTS prepared another one for their loyal Army. The K-pop band is promoting their new anthology album Proof with the music video for the lead single “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)”.

The visual for this song takes us to the middle of a sandy desert with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. It’s one of their most referential music videos to date, and it features many nods to the iconic moments from the band’s previous music videos.

“Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” is the group’s first Korean-language single since “Life Goes On” in 2020. It’s also one of the three new songs featured on their anthology album, in addition to “Run BTS” and “For Youth”.

Proof hit the shelves on June 10, and it features a total of 48 tracks across three CDs, including the band’s biggest hits, demos, and unreleased songs. They described it as “an anthology album that embodies the history of BTS” in an official statement announcing its release.

In addition to dropping a music video for “Yet to Come”, they’re also promoting this record with the “Proof Live” event taking place on June 13.

The Grammy Awards wouldn’t be the same without amazing performances by our favorite artists and we finally know who’s going to grace the stage at the upcoming ceremony. The first round of performers is out and it includes the likes of Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and BTS.

Eilish and Rodrigo are obvious choices since they’re both nominated for seven awards, including album, record, and song of the year. Eilish is in the running with her second studio album Happier Than Ever, while Rodrigo owes her nominations to her debut album Sour and chart-topping single “Drivers License”. BTS has been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with their smash hit “Butter”.

Brothers Osborne, Brandi Carlile, and Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow are also set to perform at the Grammys with the rest of the performers yet to be announced. Lil Nas X and Carlile have been nominated for five awards, while Brothers Osborne and Harlow received two nods each.

The 2022 Grammy Awards are taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3, with Trevor Noah serving as a host. The list of major nominees includes Jon Batiste with eleven nominations, and Doja Cat, H.E.R., and Justin Bieber with eight each.

The People’s Choice Awards kicked off the awards season on a high note and rewarded some of the most beloved movies, TV shows, and musical artists of the year. BTS collected three awards, while Black Widow and Loki dominated the movie and TV categories with two each.

After years in the making, Black Widow proved as an absolute fan favorite and collected two awards—the movie of the year and female star of the year for Scarlett Johansson. It was in a pretty good company, with Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Disney’s Jungle Cruise walking away with two trophies each.

Marvel and Disney also conquered the TV categories, as Loki won the awards for the TV show of the year and male star of the year for Tom Hiddleston. It was closely followed by Grey’s Anatomy and Keeping Up with the Kardashians, with two awards each.

Shortly after winning big at the AMAs, BTS came back to dominate and won three trophies at the People’s Choice Awards, including the group of the year and song and music video of the year with “Butter”. Olivia Rodrigo was a close second, with a total of two awards.

The People’s Choice Awards were hosted by SNL star Kenan Thompson on December 7th at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

It’s been less than two months since BTS gave us one of the biggest hits of the summer with “Butter”, and they’re ready for more. The music video for their latest single “Permission to Dance” is here and we’re expecting it to break major records and top the charts just like its predecessor.

“Permission to Dance” is the K-pop band’s third English-language single, following the success of “Dynamite” and “Butter”. When it was first announced, the group’s label Big Hit Music promised this song “will make your heart beat to the rhythm of BTS’s positive energy.”

Another thing that got everyone talking about “Permission to Dance” is Ed Sheeran’s songwriting credit. The British hitmaker confirmed his collaboration with BTS during an appearance on Most Requested Live, and described the band members as “super cool guys”.

“Permission to Dance” serves as the follow-up to the group’s hit single “Butter”. Since its release on May 21st, this song debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 and spent six consecutive weeks at No. 1, becoming the band’s longest-running No. 1 hit on the chart.

BTS created quite a splash with their summer anthem “Butter”, and this song has proven to be their biggest Billboard Hot 100 hit to date. After four weeks atop the chart, “Butter” became the K-pop group’s longest-running no. 1 single.

Following its release on May 21st, “Butter” easily debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it hasn’t left that spot for an entire month. Four weeks later, this catchy track continues its reign and it bested the three-week rule of “Dynamite” on the Billboard Hot 100 last year.

In an interview with Billboard’s Tetris Kelly, BTS member RM described “Butter” as the band’s “summer anthem”. He explained their main goal with this song was to release “a more upbeat, fresh dance-pop track” that’s all about “the positive vibes and upbeat energy”.

“Butter” has been breaking records for BTS ever since its release date. It had YouTube’s biggest music video premiere with 3.9 million peak concurrent viewers and became the most-viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours, with approximately 108.2 million views.
